A 36,000 m² warehouse
Regular partners, Log’S and Transitic collaborate on warehouse development and modernization projects. Recently, Transitic equipped a 36,000 m² platform located in Wattrelos (Northern France), dedicated to the logistics of major names in the textile sector.
2020: An initial development phase designed with future evolution in mind.
A major initial installation had already taken place in 2020. Carried out during the Covid-19 pandemic, it enabled Log’S to streamline its processes and improve productivity in a context of rapidly increasing e-commerce orders. This comprehensive project included:
- Four receiving areas equipped with expandable and automatic conveyors, scanners, and labelers.
- A network of roller and belt conveyors, 1 kilometer in length, running across multiple levels through a storage mezzanine.
- Storage station systems ensuring organized storage of cartons and bins according to their destination.
- A carton erector and a carton sealer with height reduction, positioned at the beginning and end of the conveyor line.
- A sorting comb in the shipping area with five exits, one of which is dedicated to rejections.
2025: An extension of equipment to meet the growth in activity.
The acquisition of new accounts in 2025 led to a significant increase in the number of items to be processed. To support this ramp-up and maintain a high level of performance, Log’S decided to upgrade its facilities to align the workflows with the new activities of its clients.
Transitic extended the existing systems and networks by integrating several key pieces of equipment:
- An automatic carton sealer, capable of adjusting the height of the packages based on their contents.
- A customization station dedicated to the individualized processing of orders, in accordance with the client’s specifications.
- Control scanners and an automatic labeler in the shipping area to ensure traceability and compliance of shipments.
- Five new exits on the shipping sorter.
The entire system is controlled and monitored through the Open WCS software suite. This software has been adapted following the integration of additional clients.
”The installation was carried out without any impact on production, ensuring complete continuity of operations.
