Automated warehouse with intelligent storage system
ba&sh
Paris, France
Founded by Sharon and Barbara in 2003, ba&sh is now an iconic house of accessible luxury at the cutting edge of smart fashion. Since then, it has enjoyed strong growth and is developing an ambitious international expansion strategy. Already present in 17 countries with 280 shops, the French brand has no intention of stopping there. It is taking with it a whole ecosystem of partners orchestrating growth based on sustainable innovation.
As part of a voluntary initiative to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions, ba&sh has built a new logistics warehouse, developed by BARJANE, in the heart of Greater Paris. Close to Roissy airport, this new warehouse is High Environmental Quality (HEQ) certified and continues its sustainable transformation through innovation. The challenge proposed by ba&sh was to automate this new building in terms of both storage and order preparation, in order to adapt its level of service to the growing demand for all these channels.
To meet ba&sh’s requirements, TRANSITIC’s teams created a “state of the art” warehouse by deploying a large network of overhead conveyors covering more than 15,000 m² on 2 levels.
Equipped with roller and belt conveyors for transporting cartons, where all stages are automated towards the dispatch area, the French brand’s warehouse also features ergonomic workstations, designed to offer optimum comfort to employees.
Overhead conveyors complete the solution proposed by TRANSITIC’s teams, with the aim of optimising space while sorting garments using ratchet conveyors.
To ensure the identification and traceability of each item, the conveyor automatically uses barcodes to direct them to their destinations.
The entire system is supervised by Open WCS software, enabling productivity to be measured, diagnosed and optimised for a scalable, more connected and intelligent supply chain.
